Trotsky
good-naturedly ribs Johnson with his elbow. Johnson, with
eyebrow raised, looks at his counterpart as if to
ascertain where that comment came from, then laughs and
shakes his head. The astronaut lowers the camera.
ASTRONAUT
Everyone stick around. At this distance it'll take about
seven minutes for the transmission to reach Earth.
Trotsky stands up and quietly motions to LEBED, a Russian
cosmonaut. They exit the module together.
INT. ENDEAVOR - STORAGE HOLD
Trotsky and Lebed hurriedly but methodically open packages
marked "SARDINES". They find two silencer-equipped Russian
pistols, check the chambers and magazines, and exit the
room.
INT. CORRIDOR
Trotsky sees an American and shoots. Blood oozes from the
chest wound and forms small bubbles that float in the
weightlessness. Trotsky and Lebed proceed down the
corridor into the
CENTRAL MODULE
where six Americans are engaged in conversation. They are
startled by the two armed Russians. Trotsky and Lebed
systematically shoot the Americans. Their lifeless bodies
tumble and spin in the weightlessness. Blood hangs heavy
in the air. Trotsky and Lebed proceed up a
CIRCULAR CORRIDOR
that leads to the Endeavor's windowed and circular
CONTROL ROOM
where Johnson and another ASTRONAUT are busy monitoring a
control panel. They notice Trotsky as he proceeds into the
room through the central opening in the floor. But they
don't notice the pistol, which the floor obscures, and
continue their duties. Trotsky enters and approaches the |
